Spring Gallery Tour
The SPINNEREI cordially invites you to 10th Anniversary of the SpinnereiGalleries. On May 1, 2015 at 11am all of the galleries and exhibition spaces open up new exhibitions. Due to the extended opening hours during the Spring Gallery Tour, you will have the opportunity to explore the exciting SPINNEREI program in this very special year for us on Friday and Saturday from 11 am to 8 pm.

The HALLE 14 open up „The Hubris-Project. Pride and Sisyphean Vanity“ - In the age of techno- and life sciences, the genetic decoding of life, global and extraterrestrial mobility, and the digital duplication of the world, the Hubris Project, in diverse aesthetic-critical and artistic-visionary statements, calls human actions into question in the context of a millennia-old theme in the history of ideas: exceeding the right measure / May 1 – August 16, 2015
Within the celebrations the SPINNEREI is pleased to present at the Spinnerei WERKSCHAU on approx. 1.000 square metres a current insight in the creative work from the 100 artist studios. Among others with latest work by Hans Aichinger, Christiane Baumgartner, Tilo Baumgärtel, Rayk Götze, Margret Hoppe, Oliver Kossak, Edgar Leciejewski, Rosa Loy, Jochen Plogsties, Neo Rauch, Arno Rink, Christoph Ruckhäberle, Michael Triegel, Corinne von Lebusa, Matthias Weischer / May 1 – May 30, 2015
Furthermore, we are pleased to show you what we, together with the Spinnerei’s tenants have achieved over the past few years. In the Spinnerei-Report 2015 we invite you to take a look behind the scenes, at the artists’ studios, the galleries and the many different work- and exhibition rooms. The Spinnerei-Report is the latest evaluation and a Who is Who of the SPINNEREI.
We also welcome The IMAGO Photour Camera by Susanna Kraus. The mobile version of the historic IMAGO Camera is the only camera in the world that is capable of portraying people at a scale of 1 to 1 without distortion, directly onto photographic paper. Each life-sized self-portrait in the format 200 x 60 cm is unique - a valuable work of art as a result of the exclusive direct exposure. It is the German premiere of the IMAGO Photour and for all visitors an experience that is unique and amazing / May 1 – June 13, 2015 - Halle 14 basement.
